Position Description:  Project Manager

Experienced Mitigation and Remediation Project Manager (or Project Manager Candidate with management potential) – Wilmington, NC and Surrounding Coastal Carolina Regional Office of EMERG+NC Property Rescuers, Wilmington NC.

This is an full-time employment opportunity.

Compensation is both base salary + high $$$ bonus potential based on the achievement of productivity and profit margin targets.

This position will provide the hired individual a unique opportunity with the ability to directly add $$$ to their own paychecks via an aggressive bonus plan, while positively impacting the future growth and success of this business.

Ideal candidates will have 2-5+ years’ direct experience in project management and must be able to demonstrate their skill in dealing with estimating and managing the mitigation and reconstruction of commercial and residential insurance loss properties damaged by fire, wind, water and mold.

Working with our team to complete disaster restoration construction projects the Project Manager must have solid estimating skills, construction knowledge and great customer service skills. Successful PM’s have incredible attention to detail, solid “people skills” to manage complex situations, thrive in fast paced but satisfying job environments and possess an income driven mentality with sales minded personality.

Job Description:
Project Managers are required to secure, plan, manage and complete projects within their written scope of work at, or under, budget.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience estimating and managing commercial and residential insurance restoration projects (Smoke, Fire, Water and Mold Damage). Experience in the insurance industry preferred. This position will strive to maximize customer satisfaction, achieve revenue targets, promote the growth of the company and its profitability.

Duties:

  • Develop, build and maintain solid business relationships with Customers, Property Managers, Insurance Adjusters and General Contractors.
  • Serve as primary liaison between the customer, our internal resources and insurance carrier
  • Manage all projects, resources and participants from start to finish while maintaining profitability
  • Maintain budget, job timeline and explore options to insure its timely completion
  • Participate in our On-Call Rotation
  • Assess and write estimates for water and fire losses utilizing Xactimate Estimating software.
  • Build and lead teams to deliver superior customer service. Promote accountability, positive work ethic and resolve any conflicts among the team and participants on their Project
  • Coordinate daily work scope for technicians, delegating key tasks and reporting responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all employees perform their job duties in a safe manner. Insure that they take all reasonable precautions to avoid work related accidents

Qualifications:

  • Must have 2-5+ years Project Management experience
  • Minimum certifications in Water Damage Mitigation, Applied Structural Drying and Microbial Growth Remediation (IICRC Certification preferred)
  • Must have construction background
  • Must display poise, tact and professionalism while problem solving and decision making
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal and customer service skills
  • Must be able to skillfully and accurately estimate value of a project
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment
  • Must be able to skillfully use Windows and Microsoft Office software.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs of items related to construction debris
  • Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Must be age 21 or older
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends if needed; (some holidays)
  • Eligible to work in the USA
  • Candidates will be required to pass comprehensive criminal background check
  • Candidates will be required to pass DMV record check to facilitate business vehicle insurability
  • Must have reliable transportation and a stable work history
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and have a clean background/driving record

Education, Certification(s) and Equivalent Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • Associate Degree in a related technical or business field
  • High School Diploma with 3+ Years of Project Management Experience
  • Minimum certifications in Water Damage Mitigation, Applied Structural Drying and Microbial Growth Remediation (IICRC Certification preferred)

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary plus performance based commission and new account acquisition bonuses. Experienced candidates should produce ~ $60,000.00 or higher annually including bonus which should be very achievable.
